Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Riding mower 2113, oil grease, lock nut

Hi,I would like to know how to adjust the brakes on this mower,and how do you service the rear trans axle-does it need oil/grease

Answer
To adjust the break put the mower on jack stands.  On the side of the transmission there will be a small disk with a brake pad on either side of if you do not see it followed the linkage from the brake pedal back to the transmission there is usually a lock nut holding the brake assembly so when you press on the brake it squeezes the disc.  Remove the nut spec pads and discs and put back together and adjust.  Best way to adjust is to start the mower and engage the drive.  Adjust the linkage until it just holds the disc you don't need a lot of pressure hope I helped best of luck
