Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snapper rider mower, spindle shaft, snapper rider

Question
I have a 28inch cut snapper with a 8hp engine. the blade and the bracket it is mounted on is just spinning freely.the center nut is very tight.how do I stop the blade from spinning around?

Answer
Hello Mike:

From your Description it Sounds like you are Trying to Remove the Blade for Replacement or Sharpening and Balancing. Sometimes when No Air or Electric Impact Wrench is Not Avaliable, a Pipe Wrench can be Used to Hold the Spindle Shaft so the Center Nut can be Removed. You can View a Breakdown of the Mower at this Site Addy; http://www.snapper.com/manuals/ Select your Model from the List in the Model/Part Numbers Section. Select Parts Manual from the Manual Type Section and Click Find Manuals. Now Download the Manual for your Unit from the List Provided. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
