Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda gx-200, honda gx 200, gas mixture

Question
I have a honda hs55 snowblower, I replaced the old engine with a new honda gx-200. in the process of this i noticed the old gx-140 did not have a air filter. so when i got the new gx-200 installed i took the air cleaner assembly off the old engine and installed it on the new engine. so now the new gx-200 has no air filter.
the problem now is it ir running way to lean when the choke is full open. so in order to get it to run well i have to have the choke 1/2 closed. i have looked all over the web to find out how to adjust the mixture with no luck.
there is only one screw on the carb and that adjusts the itle.  Is there something i am missing. your advice would be greatly help.. thanks

Answer
Hello Brian:

To Properly Assist you, I Require the Complete Engine Model Numbers. Honda Engine Number Examples: GX200 VAA, GX200 RH2, GX200 QFX, ect. A Snow Thrower Engine is Usually a Special Application Engine. The Newer Engine that you Replaced the Old Engine with has a Newer Design Carburetor that Requires the Air Filter in Order for the Carburetor to Supply the Proper Gas Mixture to the Engine During Operation. This is the Reason for No High or Low RPM Air Mixture Screws. The Older Engine has a Carburetor that Either has 2 Carburetor Mixture Screws or the Carburetor was Designed to Operate without a Filter. If you can Operate the Engine with the Filter, then Simply Put the Filter Back onto the Engine. If Not, then you May be Able to Use the Carburetor Off the Old Engine so the Newer Engine will Run Properly. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
