Question
After cleaning carb & checking same,Exhaust cleaned & clear, including screen, the trimmer will not idle or even run slowed down, only runs at medium or high speed. If let up on speed it will stop. Have to choke & then at choke off with throttle full on it will run & at only neer or at full throttle. Also checked fuel filter & cleaned.Checked plug & has 80 lbs compression.

Answer
80 PSI is a little low.

There is an idle circuit in the carburetor.  Take the carburetor off and disassemble it.  There is a very small screen inside the carburetor, be sure it is not restricted.  Then clean all air and fuel passages with a wire from a twist tie.  Be sure to get the nozzle out,  That is the brass colored piece that goes up into the throat of the carburetor.  There is a very small hole in the carburetor throat on the engine side of the throttle plate.  That is where the fuel comes out for the idle circuit. It could be anywhere in the throat, bottom, right side or left side. These passage is accessible through a welch plug on the side of the carburetor.  If you take out the welch plug be sure you put a new one in.  Very easy.  Just set it in the hole rounded side up and use a punch and hammer and punch it.

The adjustment screws are usually covered with silicone to keep you out of them.  Pull out the silicone and adjust the screws.  You can dab a little silicon back on but it makes no difference.  Reassemble with a new carburetor kit and mounting gaskets.  This should do the trick.  Good luck.
