Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman 6.5 hp self-propelled lawn mower, self propelled lawn mower, question pool


Question
the transmission gear must have melted together and is "frozen". Can I "inactivate" the transmission and use it as a push mower? (Engines etc. are OK. The original transmission was replaced only one summer ago.

Sorry for the Delay. If you Remove the Drive Belt and the Input Shaft from the Transmission you should be Able to Operate the Mower as a Regular Push Mower.
