how do i remove the impeller off the shaft that is connected to the engine.

I just tried to get a exploded parts view. It's on line.  Go to sears.com, enter parts in the search box on the left hand side of the page.  When sears pats direct comes enter your model number in the box on the right where you search by model.  This gets you an exploded view, just click on it to enlarge it.  You will see there what holds the impeller to the engine.
