Will an engine out of a F910 John Deere lawn mower fit and work in a F930 John Deere lawn mower without any major alterations?

That is a hard question to answer without more engine information.  The first things to check is crankshaft length.  Then go to electrical connections and wire harness connectors.  Remember a blue wire on one tractor does not do the same on another tractor.  What has a John Deere dealer said? What is the physical difference between the two tractors?
