Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snapper riding mower belt adjustment, snapper mower, belt tension

Question
Hello, I have a 28" riding Snapper mower, with the manual which clearly describes how to adjust the belt tension.  The manual even has two accurate, easy-to-understand drawings which show the adjustment bolt location and the direction to move the front frame (forward to tighten the belt, aft to loosen the belt).  My problem isn't knowing what to do to adjust the belt tension, my problem is HOW to get the front frame tube (1-1/2" steel tube) to actually move forward.  I have loosened the bolt, even taken it plumb off, but after exasperatingly tugging on the tube, jerking on the tube and the front frame, and hammering on the front frame stanchion using a block of wood as a hammering surface, the tube won't budge.  So, is there a "trick" to getting the frame tube to move forward?  Thanks for your help, Steve

Answer
First I have not worked snapper in long time. I went to their website and found the page where you could enter the year manufactured the width of cut and horsepower and it will give you the proper manual. I believe it was just snapper.com and go to the support page if you cannot find it grow to ask.com and ask manufactured snapper 28 inch writing mower they would be to the right page.

Experience tells me that the front half of the to was mounted to the front steering and held up the deck. The back half of the to attached to the Rhame and held up transmission engine etc. I know there are bushing where the tubes go-between plates in the frame. There is probably a hidden screw or welded on the frame has to be removed before the tubes can be separated or else adjust have you inspected the quality of the belt you're using? If it is old and cracked and stretched it should be replaced. Use original parts.

I'm sorry I cannot be of more help good luck on your project
