Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Why is my Tecumseh 3.5 HP edger engine leaking gas through the air filter?, diafram, adjustment screw

"I bought this edger for $30 and I already cleaned out carb thoughly and I found the reason it was not running when I bought it was the fuel adjustment was closed so it wasn't getting any gas. So I opened the adjustment screw played with it a while and got it running which was great but when I turned the engine off it leaks gas out the front of the air filter. do i need a new Inlet Needle and Seat or what do you think? By the way it is a diafram carb.

I would install a new carb kit with gaskets and inlet needle.  These parts are inexpensive and old parts frequently cause your problem.
