Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JD 445 mower stalling after 45-60 minutes, sick joke, service meter

Question
I am the second owner of a '97 445 mower. It has 1553 hours on the service meter. Upon startup the engine shows no problem or hesitation. It is only after about 45 minutes to an hour of use the engine dies. When I disengage the mower and restart it does so as if nothing is wrong and stalls when I engage the mower. When I start it again and attempt to drive the mower without the mower engaged it hesitates when moving forward or backward and acts as if it wants to stall. I have changed the oil and the fuel filter and the only other items I can think of is it might be the injector, the fuel pump, pressure regulator or something to do with the spark control.  The last time i used i was able to get it near a hose so i could rinse off the deck, it ran fine for about a minute then stalled just sitting there.  Any thoughts or ideas?

Answer
Chris,

1553 Hours Is Over the Service time for your tractor.
Since this unit has a Liquid Cooled engine you should take it to JD for its hourly service schedule.
I did some reading on the (JDHSS) John Deere Hourly Service Schedule
At 1500 Hours it needs to be retuned and the entire fuel system repressurized and checked for faults.
The electrical system is reset along with your hour meter.
a Full service Lube and regreasing is required for all moving parts.
This is not something that was meant for you to do yourself John Deere did this as a sick joke for owners to cause you to bring it in for servicing and maintenence.
Alot of the issue is the Hour Meters  brain at that time if it is not reset the brain tells the Mower to Manually shut down it takes a few secnds to reboot the brain when it does then it will tell the mower to shut down under Load next it tells the drive system to abort instant engagement of the transfer case which is why the hesitation.
Just tell you JD Service center It is in for the 1500 Hour service and You need the service done ASAP.
I wish there was another way to get your issue fixed But We can only Blame JD for this Defect in design to Owners
