Question
Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs carb, question pool, appropriate boxes
carb
David,,hope you can help. This is a Briggs engine 10A902.I replaced the gasket and the diaphragm and pulled the jet out and cleaned the whole carb. Starts on one or two pulls and runs great. My problem is when I press the red primer plunger it will not squirt gas out of the little nossel. Know when I stick my finger down the throat and cover a little bit of the small nossel and press the plunger a few times I can feel the gas enter the rubber plunger and it will start to squirt the gas. Have you seen this problem?? Do I need a new O ring and rubber pumper or what?? I have taken this carb on and off a bunch and cleaned through it several times.
Thanks for your help

Answer
Hello Dave:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool and I can Only Answer Questions from the Question Pool when I am Not Answering Questions here or at the Other Site I Answer Questions at and I am Also on Vacation. If you have Not Replaced the Primer Bulb when you Cleaned the Carburetor, then Do So. I Always Suggest Replacing the Primer Bulb Whenever the Carburetor is Cleaned. If the Carburetor was Not Soaked Overnight in Cleaning Solution, then the Primer Passage May be Restricted with Varnish. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine at this Site Addy; http://www.briggsandstratton.com/maint_repair/manual_and_more/doclist.aspx?categ... and Enter the Model Numbers (XXXXXX) and the First 4 Type Numbers (XXXX) in the Appropriate Boxes and Click GO. Then Select Download PDF. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
