Questionhi, i asked about a trottle cable for a Murray 6 hp model 225111x92c. I got the cable on, thanks by the way. and i'll be danged if the start rope broke later on that day.
I replaced one before and i remember it was a mess, the metal coil came out and apart, and we just had to break down and go to a lawn mower junk yard and get the coil and starter rope assembly off of another mower to put on it, any better way, cuz i've seen em sell just the rope @ stores and thought HOW???
AnswerFrank, they are a pain i the butt to do if your not familiar with them, there are usually rivets to drill out and then replace with bolts and nuts. Sometimes it is so much easier to get a used one, or a repair manual to give you step by step advice. Is that a Tecumseh model number?........Tom
