Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite lawnmower transmission, walk behind mower, lever arm

Question
I have a Homelite HSP20P-UT30097 self-propelled walk-behind mower.  It is in excellent condition, except the transmission quit working.  The lever arm on the top of the gearbox that the spring cable attaches to is loose (but still has resistance) and moves much farther than it used to.
Could you describe what may be broken ?
How do I get the transmission off the axle to inspect it?  (it is not obvious, as the wheel housing may be pressed on)
Would you have a part diagram of it or know where I could get parts?

Thank you for your assistance.
Jim

Answer
Traction cable part number:  JA991902

Parts Site:  I just googled Homelite parts

The friction cone or clutch drum may be wore...I's suspect the friction cone.

The part list shows a bolt in the center of the wheel.  Remove the bolt, then the tire.  You should now have access to the transmission retaining bolts.

Let me know if this helps.
