Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda hr214 vibration, honda hr214, clutch assembly

Question
i have a honda hr214 mower which has never given a single problem since i bought it 20 yrs ago when the mower is running with the balde disengaged it vibrates and when you look at hhe blade while it is running the blade is vibrating and everything seems to be tight the vibration is only noticible when the mower is running in the high idle,if you engage the blade it is smooth like it was new or if you run it in low idle there is no vibration, where should i look could the clutch be bent or could the crank be bent or is something in the clutch possibly loose

Answer
Hello Mike:

From your Description it Sounds like the Clutch Assembly is Bad and Requires Repairing or Replacing. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. Select Lawn Mower and then Select your Model Mower. Now Select the Rotary Blade File. The Breakdown of the Clutch Assembly should Assist you in Locating the Damaged/Broken Component of the Clutch Assembly. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
