Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Shindaiwa Blower 8510RT, spark plug wire, helpfulness

Hi John. I tried to change the spark plug in my blower, when it was working, and accidentally broke the spark pug spring attached to the cord during the attempt. Now there is still a part of the spring and it attaches to the plug fine, but the blower is not turning on at all anymore. What is the problem?

You can purchase at a local small engine dealer a repair kit for the broken spark plug wire, it runs just a couple of dollars, I would replace this and then try it again......Tom
