Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn mower deck, mechanical problem, spindles

i have a craftsman rider when i put it in notch 1 or 2 it wont cut the blades wont turn i put a new belt on it can you help me thank you

It sounds like you may have to clean out under the deck first.  When done with that check the spindles are they damaged or the bearings failed, there would be lots of play up and down.  Does this only happen in the grass? If so raise the height of cut or mow more often. If it happens when you are just sitting on the driveway, you have a mechanical problem with the deck.
