Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro riding lawn mower, clutch pedal, assembly drawings

Question
QUESTION: hello and thank you for taking some time to help answer my question.
My question pertains to a toro riding lawn mower
serial#5003974 / model#59111. the engine is a briggs$traton 8hp motor.
ok here we go,
The mower will not move forward, when I go through the gears using the lever the mower seems to want to jump a bit even with clutch pedal down but doesn't go anywhere. she will move in reverse though. I greased the linkage, I even disconnected the linkage and clicked the lever by hand to make sure the mower is in gear and I get the same result. All the belts seem to be there. What could the possible remedies be?
thanks again for your time.
Brian

ANSWER: Hello Brian:

After Reviewing the Breakdown for this Unit and from your Description it Sounds like the Problem is an Internal Transaxle Problem. It May be the Shift Keys, the Drive Chain or a Bad Shift Collar. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm and Select Start Parts Viewer. Now Enter the Model Numbers. Now Select View Assembly Drawings. Select the Transmission 770A File. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

QUESTION: hi john,
Thanks for your reply, upon looking under the hood and realizing the model # was wrong i ventured further.
model#57300/serial#4000669 its a front engine model.
upon removal of the rear seat and body cover to expose the clutch assy, the clutch pad that has all those rivets around it is all chipped and broken up, it appears this is where the slippage could be coming from. i forgot to mention earlier was when the mower is off and you put it in 1st gear it is almost impossible to  move the mower by oneself. what is your opion?> if this seems plausible what parts from the list would i need? i am in the transaxle and clutch assy, see below...

again that you so much for your time, as i learn this stuff i just may donate my time to help others too :)
thanks

Answer
Hello Again Brian:

Thanks for the Heads Up on the New Model Numbers. This Changes Everything. The Disc you Described is the Clutch Pad and if it Looks as you Described, then this is the Cause of you Problems. Replace the Damaged Components of the Clutch Assembly. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.
