Question
IT IS A MONTGOMERY WARDS FEATHERWEIGHT 2.1 CHAIN SAW
THE MODEL NO.# TMC 30000A
THE SERIAL NO.# WE 2633
I BOUGHT THE SAW IN 1995, IN KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN USED FOR $ 5.00. ALSO, IS THERE ANY PLACE I CAN BUY A COIL, AND BREAKER POINTS FOR IT. THANK YOU

Answer
Hello Butch:

This is Considered to be an Antique Chainsaw. The Production year is 1963 or 1973. You can Use the Sites Listed at the Following Site Addy to Search for the Point Set for this Machine. Usually the Cause for the Units with Point Set was a Bad Condenser of the Point Set. The Coils Rarely went Bad. I Suggest you Purchase a Nova ll (Rotary Part # 8786) Solid State Ign Module and Install it on the Outside of the Unit. The Instruction Sheet that Comes with the Nova is Well Detailed on the Ease of Installation. Most Small Engine Service Centers Deal with Rotary Corp and can Order this for you. The Cost is Usually Around $20.00us. I have an Older Homelite, Partner and Poulan that I have Installed the Nova Ign Module on and they All Run Perfect. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
