Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): McCulloch gas trimmer model # MT3315, mcculloch gas trimmer, girl on the phone

Question
Well John I think it's time to buy a new trimmer! I called the #'s you posted the first dixie # took me to ordertree parts and the girl on the phone had no record of a mt3315 or the carb part#.(she told me to get the proper model number lol!!) Second # to MTD USA is unavailable in my area, and the last phone # to OEM well you guessed it the guy told me they have nothing to do with McCulloch anymore, who is OEM anyway? So unless you got an ACE up your sleeve I would say I'm SOL. OH well. I did call MTD CND and the girl on the phone did her best to help but after all her searching she came up with no brand name for the carb. She did say and I quote " short of actually going into the warehouse to actually look at the carb for a model # or brand name she couldn't tell me anything about who or what make it is ". I guess she did'nt feel like walking lol!. She did quote me a $ price for a new one though in the $60 ballpark. I'm sure their going to be shop rot at that price before they sucker someone into paying that much. HUM! $100 dollar trimmer $60 dollar carb I don't thinkso! Anyway thank's for the help John! God bless.

Answer
Hello Jeff:

LOL. That Sounds like the Plan. Sorry I couldn't be of More Assistance. I Suggest Purchasing a New Trimmer. The $60.00 is a Bit Much for a Carburetor to go on a $100.00 Trimmer. Thanks for the Good Words and the Update. Till Next Time. May All Your Mechanical Problems be SMALL ONES and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks Again.

Best Wishes and Good Luck

Respectfully

John
