Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Belt Diagram for John Deer STX38, john deer dealer, stx38

Question
Iwas just given a used STX38. The first time I used it the belt that turn the blades broke. Is there a diagram that shows  how the belt is suppose to go back on. I have been to my local John Deer dealer, but they said it was too old and they don't even have a operators manual for this model any more. Many thanks for any help you can be. George

Answer
Hello George:

I can Possibly Assist you in Getting a Manual that will have the Diagram/Picture you Require. However, I cannot Assist with this Until Tuesday (5-27-08) Due to the Holiday Weekend. There is No Site Online that I have Located that has a Diagram/Picture of the Belt Routing for this Mower and All my Contacts are Out for the Holiday. I will List this for Research on Tuesday AM, and will Follow Up to you either Tuesday Night or Wednesday Morning. If I Fail to Follow Up on Tuesday, Please Remind me on Tuesday or Wednesday. I try to Remember to Follow Up to Questioners, but at Times I have Trouble Locating the Question and Cannot Do So. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine and Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers (STX38) and Click Find. Then Select your Model from the Search Results Area. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. Thanks.
