Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Koehler wont stay running, spec numbers, hello dave

My Craftsman lawnmower with a 23hp, v-twin command Koehler engine was running perfectly, when I shut it off it wouldn't re-start, no click, nothing. Boosted it, ran OK until I turned the blades on then it quit. Reboosted it, but now as soon as I disconnect the cables it quits.  Any ideas?

What is the Battery Voltage Reading? What is the Stators Charging Voltage when the Engine is Running at Normal Operating RPMs? From your Description it Sounds like the Stator is Not Charging the Battery. Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine or the Mower Model Numbers, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Engine Model Numbers May be Stamped Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug. Thanks.
