Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs & Stratton Backfires and blows coil, briggs stratton, ign

Question
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I eliminated the coil kill wire (linked to the seat switch, ignition switch, etc.) as an issue as I did not connect it to the last coil I installed and still experienced the same problem.  Thanks again.

Answer
Hello Again Victor:

The New Coil/Magneto/Solid State Ign is Bad. Return it and Ask for a Coil/Magneto/Solid State Ign from a Different Lot/Batch/Production Run. There is No Reason for a Good Coil/Magneto/Solid State Ign Coil Not to Fire if the Shut Off Wire is Disconnected. From your Earlier Discreption it Sounds like the New Coil Overheated and Shorted. Is the Area Under the Blower Housing (metal Engine Cover) Clean and Allowing the Cooling Fins on the Flywheel to Blow Air Freely Under the Blower Housing? If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
