Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Harmony 215 mower hydrostatic tran., wheel speed, release lever

This mower has a variable wheel speed but would not roll backward(the wheels lock).I opened the trans.fill plug to ck. level and it was full. I drained a small amount of fluid and then replaced with 80W gear oil but now the wheel speed will not go as fast as before(very slow ). Thanks

Hello Anthony:

The Hydro Uses SAE 30 Engine Oil for Fluid. The 80W Gear Oil it too Heavy and is Causing the Slow Ground Speeds by Making the Hydro Oil too Thick. You will have to Drain and Refill the Hydro with New Oil. To Roll a Hydro you have to Use the Pressure Release Lever. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please.
