Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Crafstman YS4500 Riding Mower, sears craftsman, riding lawnmower

Question
Hi, I just inherited a Craftsman YS4500 Riding Lawnmower and am having problems getting it to go in gear, got it started just fine, but can not seem to make it go. I have been driving tractors since before I could drive a car, this ones got me really stumped. I can not find an owners manual anywhere, and yes I did engage the transmission through pushing in the pin in the back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hello Dan:

LOL. Thinking Ahead of me? LOL Sorry, The Wife thought it was Funny About the Pin. Can you Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Model Numbers May be Stamped Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug. The Sears/Craftsman Numbers are the One I am Seeking. They are in the Following Format; XXX.XXXXXX and are Usually Located Under the Seat on the Frame. If you Require Assistance in Locating the Model Number because it is Not in the Location I Specified, then Please Go to this Site Addy, http://www3.sears.com/ and Use the Model Locator at the Lower Left of the Page. Thanks.
