Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Pressure Washer, psi pressure washer, chore master

Question
Recently I tried to start my Chore Master 2800 psi Pressure Washer model: CM-2804 only to find no luck after many attempts. It was used previously without any problems about 6 months ago. The unit has a Vanguard 9hp Briggs & Straten engine Model:161432 Type:002902 Code:93081033 and does not even spark or give any indication that it might start.I have checked the spark plug, fuel, and oil. Also the fuel line and filter were checked for obstructions. Can you give me any advice as to how to proceed? Alan

Answer
Hello Alan:

Remove the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) and Remove the Engine Stop Wire from the Coil/Magento. A Coil/Magneto Uses No Voltage, it is Grounded to Stop the Plug from Firing. Turn the Engine and Check the Plug for Fire. If the Plug Fires with the Stop Wire Disconnected, then Check the Shut Off Wire and Stop Switch. If the Coil Does Not Fire, then Replace the Coil/Magneto. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Unit at this Site Addy; http://www.briggsandstratton.com/maint_repair/manual_and_more/doclist.aspx?categ... and Enter the Model Numbers (XXXXXX) and Type Numbers (XXXX) in the Appropriate Boxes and Click GO. Then Select Download PDF. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
