Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JD G100 mower deck rubbing right rear tire, atachments, snow thrower

Question
John- I have been trying to fix/re-align the mowing deck on my 5 year old G100.  After taking the deck off last winter to install a snow blower, I have had nothing but problems.  I have adjusted the link arms and 'U' bolt several times (basically re-installed the deck) and nothing seems to stop the rub.  The deck is level and in fairly good shape.  I am at a loss-

Answer
Hello Chris:

Have you Checked for a Damaged/Bent Draft Component? I have Changed Many JD Snow Thrower Atachments to Deck Attachments and have Only had this Problem when a Draft Component had gotten Damaged/Bent. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine and Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers (G100) and Click Find. Then Select your Model from the Search Results Area. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. Select the Draft File. I Suggest you Remove the Deck and Inspect All of the Draft Components. Return All the Deck Adjustments to the Original Position they were in when you First Removed the Deck to Attach the Snow Thrower. Other than a Damaged/Bent Draft Component, the Deck should Hook Up and be as it was when it was Removed for the Snow Thrower to be Attached. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
