Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): mower starter keeps turning, starter solenoid, solenoid

Question
I just got my murray riding mower out, tried to start it, battery too low from sitting for 2 months, charged the battery up, tried to start it and the starter kept turning and would not shut off even though the key was off until it ran the battery completely down. Now what? Please help.

From your Description, it Sounds like the Starter Solenoid is Bad. Actually the Solenoid or the Ign Switch are the Only Possible Causes for this Problem. I Suggest you Replace the Solenoid.
