Re: Model~31AE5KLF701 2 stage
Hi John,
Greetings from Southbury, Connecticut...
At the very end of last weeks snow cleanup, I managed to scoop up an extension cord laying under the snow (don't ask !) that wrapped itself around everything & knocked one end of the shaft out of side holder and everything instantly stopped.
My going through this assumes the shaft is not bent beyond safe operation.  Also the left most blade snapped one of the shear pins & I have spares.
With one more snow on its way tonight, I haven't had time to get it to my local repair shop. I removed the two bolt-screws from each of the right & left sides holding the shaft brackets & am not sure how to pull the assembly forward so I can put the side brackets over the ends of the shaft & re-attach. The center of the shaft has a transmission that has another shaft going back to the chute 2nd stage auger. I see some bolts on the transmission unit, but don't want to mess with it if it's not the way to go.
Thanks in advance for your help.  Alan

Answer
Hello Alan:

Yardman is an MTD Product. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View. If Looking at the Breakdown/IPL Does Not Help you Reistall the Shaft, then Let me Know and I can Go into a Detailed Explaination. At this Moment, I am Trying to get Ready for some Ice and Snow Myself and am Rushed. I will be Back Online Tonight (2/29/08). If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
