Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kawasaki 27 HP Liquid Cooled (Exmark), 4 stroke engines, regulator breakdown

Question
Everyonce in a while the battery stops charging while I am cutting. I have replaced the battery and starter switch. Leads are tight and clean. COnnectors too! There is a lable on the motor (bar code)on top is (FD750DBS03) and on bottom is (FD750D008302). My last guess is the regulator or could it be a ?stator? I thought I would try youbefore I went and supported my local repair man at $75 and hour. Thanks in advance.....

Answer
Hello Paul:

You can View a Breakdown of the Engine at this Site Addy; http://www.buykawpower.com/kmcb2c/main.jsp and Select View Parts Catalog. Then Select 4 Stroke Engines. Then Select the Engine Model FD750D-SO1. Then Select the Electric-Equipment File. Check the Voltage Going to the Voltage Regulator (Breakdown # 21066) First. Usually the Regulator is the Cause for Not Charging. The Stand Alone Stator/Charging Coil Rarely Goes Bad. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
