Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): MTD Snowthrower w/ tecumseh engine, mtd snowthrower, tecumseh engine

Question
Had a lot of trouble starting my snowblower during our snowstorm tuesday. Just had it serviced and they essentially rebuilt carb replaced head gasket maybe even a new head. I dont have the receipt here its at my mothers house. . Ran electric start forever wouldnt start sounded like it was struggling a little. tried pull start wouldnt start. Finally as I was about to give up i reached under the air cleaner cover and found a lever that seemed spring loaded and pulled it while running the electric start. Starter ran much more freeley and machine started right up and ran fine until i stopped it and let the engine cool completely than it was like starting all over again. Any suggestions on what i might to rather than bring it back to the only shop in my area who apparantly couldnt fix it right anyway?????

Sounds like the throttle spring is not working correctly. Some snowblowers work at one speed by having the throttle fixed when the engine starts, maybe when it was repaired the spring got loose or not reconnected. I would call the repair shop back and tell them to fix it right,It may be a simple fix that they didn't see at the time.
