Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro CCR Powerlite, overhead valve engine, spec numbers

Question
Hello,

I have had this snowthrower for just over 1-year and at times/most of the time have had difficulty starting. Today I attempted to start, using the electric start. I couldn't get it to fire, I didn't want to overheat the electric starter so I waited a few seconds between attempts. It appeared that as if it were like starting a car with a low battery. I stopped and gave it an hour before again trying to start. Again the same thing happened. I tried for 30-minutes to manually coil start, nothing, not even an attempt start.
I could sure use some help / advise

Answer
Hello Linda:

If this is an OHV (Overhead Valve Engine), then Most Likely the Valves Require Adjustment. The Compression Release Can Not Operate Correctly and the Engine has too Much Compression During the Start Up Process. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Snow Thrower and the Model, Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Model Numbers May be Stamped Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug. Thanks.
