Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): troy-bilt central spindle repair, central spindle, spindle repair

Question
I have a 2002 troy-bilt tuff-cut 210 model #12a-466NO63 that hit a small stump and the central spindle from the bottom of the engine where the blade connects was bent. Is it possible to repair this part? And what tools would I need to remove it from the engine for repair?  Thank you for your help.

Answer
Hello Jace:

Sorry for the Delay. High Winds have Downed Trees and my Electric is Out and the Darn Generator Coil went Bad. lol  Its been a Fun Past 2 Days. Depending on How Bad the Crankshaft is Bent; you May Not be Able to Straighten it. Most Small Engine Service Center have a Crankshaft Straightener that Requires Only the Engine be Removed from the Frame. Usually if the Crankshaft is Bent too Much, I Suggest you Replace the Crankshaft or Purchase a New Short Block. Go to this Site Addy, http://www.jackssmallengines.net/parts.asp and Select Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab and Enter the OEM (Troy Bilt)and the Model Numbers. Now Double Click on your Model in the Results Area. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
