Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): carburetor problems, tillotson carburetor, carburetor problems

hi john.can all tecumseh carburetor parts fit another carburetor?i need a choke assembly,this part is old and they do not make them anymore.i know if i can get a choke assembly i can rig it up to make it work.on top of the choke is a long arm that goes throught the carb case on the snowblower.this part is so worn that it keeps on breaking.
any help will be very helpful.

Most Times you can McGuiver a Choke Plate or Thru Shaft to Function in a Different Carburetor and with Tecumseh Most of the Choke Plates and Thru Shafts will Interchange. For Tillotson Carburetor Parts go to this Site Addy; You can View a Breakdown of the Carburetor and Purchase the Carburetor Parts at this Site Addy http://www.tillotson.ie/ and Download the Flash Player. Then Enter the Site. Now Select Tech Info. Now Select Service Manuals from the Drop Down List Under the Tech Info Tab. Your Carburetor should be in the HU or the HS Series Manual.
