I am swapping engines on my gravely lawn mower. What would be the proper way to connect the alternater wires?

Answer
Hello Larry:

If your Old Engine is a Single Wire Stator and the New One is a Two Wire Stator, then go to this Site Addy; http://faqs.custhelp.com/rnt/rnw/img/enduser/105-AC_DC_test_chart.jpg This is the Test Chart for the Stator/Alternator Wire System. Us the High Voltage Wire for the Battery Charging and the Lower Voltage for the Lights. If this is Not Enough Detail, then Let me Know, Please. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
