Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs Model 190432, steering wheel puller, 6 digits

Question
Hello again Sir.  I asked you this question a few days ago http://en.allexperts.com/q/Small-Engines-Lawn-1746/Briggs-190432.htm .  I have done the following.  Fuel filter, air filter, new fuel, changed oil, fuel treatment.  It still will run about 5 minutes then shut off.  In about 1 minute it will start back again and run like new for about 5 more.  I'm wondering if it is that coil that you were speaking of.  I'm wondering if that is a cheap fix as I couldn't find that part on the diagram you gave me to look up.  I remember now that I forgot to pull the plug and do that test that you told me.  But, I do not know where the other wires are that you told me to pull to complete that test.  I'm sorry to be so scattered but I hope I made myself clear.  Thanks again in advance.

Answer
Hi Luis:

Yes, from your Description, it Sounds like the Coil/Ign Coil/Magnetron Coil is Heating Up, then Breaking Down and Not Firing the Plug. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model (5 or 6 Digits) and Type Numbers (first 4 digits Only). Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Engine you Wish to View. Select the Blower Hsg, Flywheel, Screen File. This Engine has a Point Set (breakdown #375). The Condensor is Heating Up and Causing the No Fire to the Plug Problem. These are Located Under the Flywheel. ***Remove the Blower Housing (metal engine cover). Remove the Flywheel Nut or Starter Cup (Depends on the Model). Now Attach a Steering Wheel Puller to the Flywheel Using the Threaded Holes in the Flywheel. Tighten the Puller. Now Hit the Puller with a Hammer. Repeat this Procedure Until the Flywheel Pops Up or can be Lifted Off the Crankshaft. On Some Models you Can Not Use a Puller and Must Use a Pry Bar and a Pipe Cap that is Slightly Larger than the Crankshaft. Place the Pipe Cap Over the Crankshaft to Protect it. Place the Pry Bar Under the Thick Section of the Flywheel and Pull Up Against the Flywheel. **BE CAREFUL  DO NOT PUT A HOLE IN THE BLOCK UNDER THE FLYWHEEL** Now Hit the Pipe Cap that is on the Crankshaft (covered with the Pipe Cap). Repeat the Procedure Until the Flywheel can be Lifted Off the Crankshaft. *** Now the Point Set Cover can be Removed and a New Point Set Installed. The Point Set Contacts are Gapped to .015in. You Turn the Engine and Watch the Point Set Plunger. When the Plunger is Fully Extended, Set the Point Set Contact Gap. The Coil is Gapped to .020in from the Flywheel. Ask as many Questions as you Feel you Need to. No Worries. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
