Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs & Stratton Govenor, briggs stratton, toro snow blower

QUESTION: I have a Toro Snow Blower Model 38150 with a Briggs & Stratton 8hp motor, Model 190402.  I did some carb work and can't remember how to get the govenor spring back in the correct place.  I only have full throttle or off.  I am looking for a diagram or some pictures of how the to get the govenor spring back in the correct location.

QUESTION: Thanks for the engine diagram.  This helps but I am still unclear as to where the spring (#209) connects to.  I know one end connects to the govenor (#227) but I'm not sure where on the throttle side (#222) to connect the other end.  If you have some pictures you could send me that would be great.

What you have to do is install the linkage in the middle hole and start the engine to see how it runs,Ten  you have to do is just keep trying  each hole until the engine runs smooth and when you increase the throttle it will speed up.With out the correct mod # spec # and serial #'S I can not tell you how to set this up.
