Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): ignition timing for Stihl chainsaw, stihl 041, foot pounds

Question
I have an older Stihl 041 chainsaw with electronic ignition. I would like to know how to adjust the timing and to know how much torque should be applied to the flywheel nut.

Answer
Hello Paul:

As Far as I Know; All the Electronic Ignition Model Stihl's have a Fixed Ign Timing. The Coil is Set at .015in - .020in from the Flywheel and the Flywheel Nut is Torqued to 60 to 80 Foot Pounds. The Flywheel Key Times the Plug Firing. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Good Luck
