Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears weedeater, sears craftsman, craftsman model

Question
Got a 6 yr old Sears 32cc bushwacker/trimmer/brushcutter, don't have the model #. It's always run like a charm. There is fuel line and filter?/floater in the gas tank. The thin fuel line had deteriorated and cracked & broke off. Ordered the part from Sears, they say there is 2 lines in there. I only see a nipple and assumed there was one line from the nipple to the filter/float dohickey... 2 lines? I need to see a schematic or something to know how to replace these lines properly.  Crazy that they are inside the tank making it so hard to repair. I'm gonna get these 2 little fuel lines...how to replace them inside the tank?

Answer
Hello Linda:

One Hose Stops Just Inside the Tank. It is a Return Hose. The Other is the Pickup and Filter Hose. Purchase the Fuel Line Longer than Required. Push the New Pickup Hose Into the Tank and Feed it Out the Tank Fill. Attach the Fuel Filter to the Hose and then Pull the Line Back into the Tank Until the Filter Rest on the Bottom of the Tank Just at the Tank Fill. Attach the Other End of the Hose to the Carburetor. The Return Hose May or May Not Go Into the Tank. Some Tanks have a Fitting that the Return Line Hooks to and on Others the Hose is Pushed Into the Tank about 1/2" to 1". Go to this Site Addy, http://www3.sears.com/ and Enter the Model Numbers in the Upper Left Search Box and Click Go. Then Visually Verify the Equipment and Click Continue. From this Page you can View Diagrams or Parts Lists for you Equipment. You Will Need the Sears/Craftsman Model Numbers (XXX.XXXXXX) to Locate the Breakdown. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
