Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Float level setting, craftsman model, rubber gasket

Question
Hi Ben,
The carb on my snowblower is letting fuel out of it when i   prime it.After a tear down i noticed the float seemed to be hanging pretty low.
Do you know what the float drop/setting is,Or what else would be letting fuel out of the carb after priming. This is a Craftsman Model C950-52930-0
Engine Model 143.001103 Engine family XTPXS.3582BF  Displacement 358
Any help would be appreciated thanks
Curtis

When you prime the carb with the primer bulb you by pass the float,it injects fuel down the throat of the carb,Then when it starts the float will take over at a certain level allowing fuel to enter the carb. The float should be level. Also check to see if the needle valve is seating correctly and that the small rubber gasket is in the needle valve hole.
