Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman leaf blower 358.797931, craftsman leaf blower, spark arrestor

Question
Your answer on the purge line area of the carb was correct.  Thank you.  I have
more questions.  The blower won't start or run on full, so i removed the end cap
off the muffler and it ran, (with sparks flying).  Where does the exhaust come out
of the muffler? there are no visible holes, can the muffler be cleaned?  It does
run at lower idle and exhaust comes out from somewhere.  Thanks

Answer
Hello Doug:

Usually if there is Not an Exhaust Port to be Seen on the Muffler, then the Muffler Exhaust is from Around the Seam of the Muffler. The Spark Arrestor Screen Inside the Muffler is Clogged. On Some Mufflers, the Muffler will Seperate and the Spark Arrestor Screen can be Remove and Cleaned or Replaced. According to the Breakdown, this Muffler is a 1 Piece Muffler and Requires Replacing the Complete Muffler. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
