Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): drive train, assembly drawings, drive train

Question
QUESTION: have a 8-25 rear engine '90' toro. I ran over a stick & it knocked off the
chain.I put it back on but it would not go foreward. The belts look ok. It will
go in rerverse but not forward. in reverse you  can't move the mower , but in
any other gear you can easily move it forward& you should not be able to
move it without the clutch in or in neuteral. Thanks   Craig

QUESTION: John. The model # is 56123   -9000001     Transmition # 700-025.
Maybe something got sheered off when chain got tied up from stick?
Thanks
Craig

ANSWER: Hello Again Craig:

Check the Linkage and Make Sure it is Not Slipping at Any Connection Point when Moved. If the Linkage is Good, then the Force of the Chain Coming Off the Sprocket May have Damaged the Transmission Internally. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm and Select Start Parts Viewer. Now Enter the Model Numbers. Now Select View Assembly Drawings. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

QUESTION: John, Bad news for me. Parts that are not available broke inside the
transmission. You can buy the entire trans. for about $500. I guess i will be
looking for a different mower. I don't trust the new riders. Thanks for your
help. Craig
