Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): strikemaster 2hp auger, engine bolts, bolt hole

Question
QUESTION: i was wondering in have a lil oil leaking out of the muffler? whats that from laying on its side?

ANSWER: Hello Jon:

It can be Caused by Storing the Engine on it's Side. However, Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Thanks.

QUESTION: hey, it is a strikemaster 2hp lazer, it seems like its only leaking oil out when it runs, starts dripping out of bolt hole and on bottom bolt

Answer
Hello Again Jon:

This is a 2hp, 2 Cycle Tecumseh (Model TMO49XA) Engine. If there is Oil Coming Out of the Muffler and Leaking from the Main Engine Bolts, then you are Mixing the Gas/Oil Ratio with too Much Oil. Lighten Up on the Amount of 2 Cycle Oil in the Gas. The Suggested Ratio is 24:1, However on Some Engine the 24:1 is too Heavy and a 26:1 or 28:1 Ratio May be Required to Stop the Oil from Leaking. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the T. Then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers. Then Select your Model and Download the File for Online Viewing. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
