Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): ignition switch craftsman riding lawnmower, craftsman riding lawnmower, poor puppy

Question
I have blown out the fuse by the key switch.  There has been different keys and fingernail files, etc. used to crank this poor puppy.  I have another craftsman about the same year model, but it is a standard not automatic trans.  The switches are both plug in's but do not match up at all.  Is it possible to splice in the working switch or will I have to buy a new one?  I appreciate any suggestions you may offer.

Answer
Hello Robo:

Go to this Site Addy, http://www3.sears.com/ and Enter the Model Numbers in the Upper Left Search Box and Click Go. Then Visually Verify the Equipment and Click Continue. From this Page you can View Diagrams or Parts Lists for you Equipment. Using the Model Numbers Off Both Mowers you can View the Electrical Diagrams of Both Mowers and Rewire the Ignition Switch to the Mower you Want. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
