Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ctsman 16.0 HP Lawn Tractor (917.274351), transaxle, lawn tractor

Question
While mowing the lawn, my tractor(2yrs old) stop moving. Engine runs but tractor will not move in any gear. Transaxle belt intact and rotating.  With engine off tractor can be pushed forward and backward. Can be pushed forward when gear is in reverse.
Suggestions as to probable cause is appreciated.

Hello Betty:

If the Belt is On All the Pulleys and Idlers, then the Problem is Inside the Transaxle. Usually the Suddenly Quits Pulling and Rolls Free while in Gear is an Indicator that the Drive Chain Inside the Transaxle has Broken. This is Rare for a 2yr Old Transaxle, but it Does Happen.
