Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): mower cuts uneven lines especialy on hills, gauge wheels, mower deck

Question
I have a deere Lx188 built in 96. It has cut great until the last month or so. It still cuts even on flats but when mowing cross hill with left side uphill, or making right turns it cuts a deep line that I cant even out. I purchased a leveling gauge and adjusted the deck it wasn't far off but now it is even all the way around. Still cutting the lines. Is there something simple I overlooked or is the machine dead. Thank you Jason

Answer
Hello Jason:

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers and Click Find. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. Select the Mower Deck, Lift Linkage File. Now Select the Mower Deck Lift Linkage File. Check the Components of the Deck Lift. Is Anything Bent or Binding. Clean and Lubricate the Deck Lift Linkage and All the Connection Points to the Mower Deck. Are the Gauge Wheels All Intact? Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
