Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere 345 - 20hp Kawasaki - 99 model, john deere 345, key switch

I bought a used 345 with 350 hours. The tractor ran fine for a while before the water temp light came on. I let it cool but found that when I turned the ignition on, the tractor tried to start when I pressed the brake pedal. It cranked abit and started. When I released the footbrake, the starter seemed to fimnally disengage. Are these two distinct problems and what can you tell me for each?

yea that is a problem sounds like like you have a electrical problem which it sounds like like key switch see there is a safety switch on the foot padel that tells the solenoid to open up and start if the key switch is stuck on the open position when you press the foot padel it will turn over let me know what you come up with
