Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deer RX95 Mower, jumper wire, john deer

Question
Mower starts and runs but when I put into forward or reverse gear or engage mower, it will cut off. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Answer
Hello Paul:

Check the Seat Safety Switch. On Some Model Mowers you Simply Unplug the Switch and On Others you Place a Jumper Wire Between the Harness Terminals. I Suggest you Unplug the Switch and Try the Mower. If No Change in the Operation of the Mower, then Place a Jumper in the Harness. The Seat Switch is Indicating that the Seat is Empty and is Grounding the Plug when you Engage the Blades or the Transaxle. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers and Click Find. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
