Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Threewheeler, honda 110, question pool

Question
I have a 1985 Honda 110 ATC 3 wheeler with a clutch and/or transmission problem. When shifting into higher gears the clutch shifts into neutral on the fly. For example i may be shifting into third gear from second and the clutch shifts into neutral, at that point i can shift down and go back into second or shift up and go into third but it shifts really hard when doing so. Thanks For Your Time!

Answer
Hello Tyler:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. From your Description, it Sounds like the Shifter Fork is Worn, the Counter Shaft or Gear is Worn. Usually a Component in the Sub Transmission is Worn and Causes this Problem. You can View a Breakdown of the ATV at this Site Addy; http://partsfinder.ridenow.com/fiche_select.asp?vcc=ATVs&mfg=Polaris Select Manufacturer (Honda) and Enter the Model Year. Then Select the Sub Transmission Cover File. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
