Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): getting conduit nut off exhaust pipe, penetrating oil, exhaust pipe

Question
I am trying to replace a muffler that rusted through.  It was welded to an exhaust pipe (in one piece), which is screwed into the engine with a "Conduit L-Nut" on it.  The rusty conduit net will not budge, even after hours of spraying it with penetrating oil and trying to move it.  Is there any way I could cut it or something?  Thanks, Alan

Answer
Hello Allen:

Run the Engine at Full Throttle and Allow the Engine to Get Hot. Now Use a Chisel and Hammer to Turn the Lock. If the Lock Does Not Turn the Chisel will Cut the Nut and Allow it to be Removed. Usually the Heat from the Hot Engine and Exhaust will Allow the Nut to be Loosened when Hit with the Chisel. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
