Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): starter drive gear, briggs and stratton, drive pinion

QUESTION: I have a 1996 Murray rider, model #42910X92A that has a broken starter drive gear.  I am having difficulty locating a replacement.  Are they still available?
I saw a previous entry about a Murray mower dying when engaging the blades.  I too have had that problem recently.  I will check and clean connections, if I can get it running again.  Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Both the Flywheel Starter Ring and the Starter Drive Pinion Gear are Very Much Available. The Starter Pinion Gear Should be a B&S Part # 695708. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. With the Model Numbers Off the Engine I can Also be Sure or the Starter Pinion Gear Part Number. If the Starter Ring on the Flywheel is Made of Steel, then the Starter Pinion Gear is B&S Part #693713. If Starter Ring on the Flywheel is Aluminum or Plastic, then the Starter Pinion Gear is B&S Part # 695708. The Part can be Purchased at your Local Small Engine Service Center or you can Order the Part from Outdoor Distrubitors @ 1-877-707-2787. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the B. Then Select Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers.
